We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You do not need to do anything to keep it that way. 1. Our commitment
CleanCarHistory has not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the past 12 months, and we have no plans to. We do not use your information for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We disclose personal information only to service providers that help us run the Service, such as hosting, payment processing and email delivery, under contracts that restrict their use of it. Our Privacy Policy explains these practices in full.
2. Global Privacy Control
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser setting or extension that tells websites you do not want your personal information sold or shared. When we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for that browser and as a choice to decline optional analytics cookies. We apply it automatically, without asking you to sign in or confirm your identity. If you are a customer and want your opt-out linked to your account across devices, submit the form below as well.
3. Rights you can exercise
Depending on your state of residence, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, you can ask us to:
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising and significant profiling;
- Access the personal information we hold about you, or receive a portable copy;
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate;
- Delete personal information we collected from or about you;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we already use it only for permitted purposes).
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We extend the same choices to all US customers, whatever state they live in.
4. How requests are handled
- Confirmation: we confirm receipt within 10 business days.
- Response: we respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we may extend this by another 45 days where the law allows and will explain why.
- Verification: opt-out requests do not require verification. For access, correction and deletion requests, we verify your identity by matching the email address you used with us and, where needed, a recent order number.
- Authorized agents: an agent may submit a request for you with your signed permission. We may ask you to confirm your identity directly.
- Appeals: if we decline your request, reply to our decision or email privacy@cleancarshistory.us with the subject "Privacy Request Appeal." If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.
Some information may need to be kept even after a deletion request, for example records we must retain for tax or fraud-prevention purposes. If so, we will tell you what we kept and why.
